A Morning at the Barn
Overview
Our Morning at the Barn program is designed to introduce seniors in our community to the therapeutic benefits of human-horse interaction.
Participants are introduced to our research-derived equine activities, including mindfulness practices, hands-on activities (greeting, grooming), sensory exercises, and group support. Trained facilitators guide on-the-ground interactions between horses and participants. It’s not only therapeutic—it’s also fun!
Many participants report feeling a greater sense of awareness, confidence, and social connection after the program.
