A Morning at the Barn

Overview
Our Morning at the Barn program welcomes older adults to spend time at the barn with horses and our team. Each session begins with a welcome meditation, a gentle walk around the barn, and time with the horses. There’s no riding involved. Instead, you can observe, brush, bathe, and lead horses while experiencing the therapeutic benefits of the human-horse connection. It’s not only therapeutic—it’s also fun!
No horse experience necessary. The program is based on our research developed at Stanford and UC Davis. Many participants report feeling a greater sense of awareness, confidence, and social connection after the program.
