Our Programs

Connected Horse programs improve the lives of people affected by dementia and their care partners by bringing people’s attention to the present moment and by helping people feel calmer, more engaged, and connected through guided programs with horses.

In-Person Workshops

Trained facilitators guide on-the-ground interactions between horses and participants, who report a greater sense of awareness, confidence, and social connection. These invaluable workshops that take place at barns and equine facilities are free-of-charge to all people affected by memory changes and dementia along with care partners, who are often adult children, spouses, and friends.

Sensory Engagement

Whether people are at home, participating in day programs, or living in senior communities, our sensory engagement program brings all the benefits of sparking emotional memories through exercises that utilize all the senses: smell fresh hay, feel the physical sensations of horses brushes and saddle leather, or listen to the sounds of horses running through a field.
